Dear Tim, brother
I was working on ideas for a social housing scheme for a North London site. The dwellings have a ‘hard back’ addressing the street, and ‘soft belly’ towards the inner stepped gardens where the massing begins to fragment.
Page 1 of your draft autobiography finds its way into this work.
You will see a scale on the drawing. It is derived from the dimensions of your San Quentin cell. Now we can relate the size of the typical dwelling to the size your cell.
Land values mean it is unlikely social housing would ever be built on this site.

Dearest Sofia,
I propose that even if the social housing scheme never gets built at the site, you have still created the genesis of something special---something that can be expounded upon and possibly repurposed for a different setting, exhibition, showing or stage. DEATH ROW INCUBATOR - NESTEGGS
Dearest Sofia, Salutations. I pray you are at your best. Allison is going to hopefully send you a picture of an image of San Quentin's East Block where I was confined. When you see it, I want you to imagine the cells as eggs/nesteggs and the way they're stacked up, tier on top of tier is reminiscent of an overcrowded henhouse.

Dearest Sofia, Where I previously referenced overcrowded "henhouse," I really meant "chicken coop." Yes, an overcrowded, multi-tiered chicken coop. That's the image in my head of the eggs/nesteggs and inhabitants thereof. A stuffy, old, rickety, convoluted chicken coop. Envision five cartons of eggs stacked up on top of each other. That was East Block.
